Baitfish Profile Metal Casting Lure Illustration

Project Description

Call it obsession, if you like… but I prefer to live my love wherever I can. So, it makes sense to combine my creative talents with my other career (I’m a professional fishing communicator).

I have two primary objectives:

  1. Ensure Australians are still enjoying healthy and abundant wild fisheries for many generations yet to come; and
  2. Encourage and nurture more women and children into the sport, so that families enjoy all the benefits of recreational fishing — together.

Naturally, I craft and create educational materials of all shapes, models and sizes. Illustration is one of the very handy tools I keep in my belt, as I can utilise elements in a modular way to create everything from ‘step-by-steps’ to lavish designs. The flexibility adds to the intrinsic beauty of a well-crafted illustration.

“Using product illustrations, instead of photographs, often lends a sense of prestige to a project. It also allows greater flexibility in positioning, resizing and modification… not to mention the ability to ‘reimagine’ the object.”
