When Ezy-Toppers and CrossXcountry Boats amalgamated, Enlightened Boating was formed as a parent company to preserve the two established brands (neither brand was developed by me). The company needed it’s own logo—one that would successfully communicate the pedigree of the boat brands in it’s stable. By graphically isolating the word fragment “light” and tying it in with the colouring of the word “boating”, the typography successfully communicates the company’s point of difference.
